Hidden Profit Specialist
Show me your numbers, your jobs, your site, and I'll show you where your money is going.

Sounds familiar?
You are turning over more than ever, but the profit does not reflect it and nobody can tell you why.
You employ good people, win good jobs, and work hard, yet something is quietly eroding your margin on almost every project.
You know the numbers should be higher. You just do not know where it is going, and your accountant has never looked in the right places.
You're busier than ever, but profit isn't improving. You feel something is off but can't see it.
The Hidden Tax
There are six places your business is bleeding profit right now.
Most construction SMEs lose 10 to 15% of their revenue through operational inefficiency. I call this Hidden Tax.
Most owners do not see it because it is spread across staffing issues, rework, slow decisions, and day to day friction.
Chaos Tax
The cost of disorder, unclear processes, and constant firefighting that nobody is measuring.
Churn Tax
The cost of losing good people and the endless cycle of rehiring, retraining, and starting over.
Malaise Tax
The cost of disengaged teams who do just enough, and no more, on every single job.
Approval Tax
The cost of decisions stuck in layers of sign-off while work stops and teams stand waiting on site.
Friction Tax
The cost of slow decisions, poor communication, and internal resistance that drags on every project.
Firefighting Tax
The cost of always reacting and never leading, when your best people spend their time on yesterday's problems.
Results
Most construction businesses I see leak profit at seven, ten, sometimes fifteen times what they pay in corporation tax. Even clawing back 1–2% of that hidden loss can be the equivalent of winning a major new contract, without extra risk.
Who this is for
This is for you if
something is not
adding up.
You run a UK construction business doing between £5M and £20M.
On paper, the business is profitable. In reality, it never quite feels like it.
You are holding everything together and you are tired of it.
You have built it through hard work and instinct, but instinct is not finding the leak.
You do not want another consultant telling you what you already know.
You want someone to find what you cannot see.
If that is you, we should talk.
How it works
We talk. A straight conversation about your numbers, your jobs, and what isn't adding up.
I diagnose. Two days on site watching how work actually moves between your office and your teams.
You see it. A clear written audit naming exactly where your profit is going and why.
We fix it. You choose the next step — implement with your own team, or bring me in to drive it.
About
I spent 22 years working across construction sites in the UK and Australia — as a carpenter, joiner, dryliner, and curtain wall installer working at height on commercial facades in Perth. Price work, day rate, domestic, social housing, major London sites. Every type of company, every type of job.
I kept seeing the same pattern. The breakdown always started between the office and the site. When those two stop communicating properly, work gets done wrong, gets redone, costs money, causes delays, and pulls good people into firefighting. That one failure feeds almost every hidden tax your business is paying.
I have built frameworks to name those leaks precisely, and tools to plug them.

What it costs
The two-day on-site diagnostic is £2,500. If we don't identify at least that in recoverable margin, you don't pay. From there, you choose how far you want to go.
